Bronchogen

Description

Bronchogen is a synthetic tetrapeptide bioregulator studied primarily in bronchial epithelial and pulmonary-tissue models. It is commonly identified as Ala-Glu-Asp-Leu (AEDL) and belongs to the class of short peptides associated with tissue-specific regulation of gene expression. Laboratory studies suggest that Bronchogen may influence bronchial-cell differentiation, epithelial repair, inflammatory activity, and pathways involved in pulmonary-tissue remodeling.

In animal models of chronic lung injury and obstructive pulmonary disease, Bronchogen administration was associated with reduced inflammatory activity and improvement in structural changes affecting the bronchial epithelium and lung tissue. Other laboratory research indicates that the peptide can interact with DNA, preferentially bind certain CTG-containing sequences, and alter DNA thermostability. These findings remain primarily preclinical and do not establish Bronchogen as an approved treatment for respiratory disease.
